Design Questionnaire
As designers, we strive to get to know the person we are designing for. Our design questionnaire allows you to provide information about your style, preferences, and additional personal details. After reviewing, we will contact you to schedule a private consultation either on Zoom or in our Design Studio.
Consultation
We want to understand your vision when custom designing something as personal as jewelry. During the consultation, Ambrosia will inspect any jewelry and stones for redesign projects, create simple sketches during the design conversation, and provide any suggestions. With the detailed information, we will provide a free estimate and timeframe of completion.
Design
Let the fun begin! Ambrosia will transform your simple sketches into detailed hand drawings and illustrations. Clients love it when she takes your idea and adds a touch of her “Ambrosia Magic” to go above and beyond expectations.
3D Modeling
This is where your ideas come to life! With our most advanced state-of-the-art computer design software, our artists hand-build your custom jewelry with the precision of technology. After several hours of detailed artistic work, you can easily rotate the model and view the design from white to yellow gold. These lifelike images assure you that your design will look exactly how you envision it.
Casting
After approval, the model is transferred to a 3D printer to create a replica of the final design. This wax model is used to create a mold for the casting process. Our meticulous process ensures a perfect casting, or the piece will be recast until it meets our quality standards.
Polishing
A rough casting is not the shiny jewelry we are used to seeing. Instead, it is a dark-colored, dull piece of metal. Before one stone is set, the mounting endures hours of filing, sanding, tumbling, and polishing. With our years of experience, we understand that diamonds will sparkle more when surrounded by gold with a mirror-like finish.
Setting
After the jewelry is fully polished in all its crevices, our master jewelers set each diamond and gemstone by hand. Our in-house jewelers use tools and techniques lost by modern jewelers of today. Before inspection, the jewelry is polished again and fully steam-cleaned to a sparkly finish.
